Why we built it this way
Army green is the trailhead colour — it disappears against a treeline and does not announce that you are carrying lunch for four. Twenty-three litres, thirty-three cans, and both hands left over for the cooler box, the chairs or a kid.
The back panel is thick shock-absorbing foam, which matters once the ice goes in and the bag gets honest about its weight. Upper and lower compartments are insulated separately, so the sandwiches are not sitting in the same puddle as the drinks.
