Why we built it this way

Grey is the campsite neutral — it sits by the fire, gets set down on wet leaves and still looks like gear rather than laundry. Same tall twenty-three-litre body, same waterproof shell, same opener on the strap.

We added the breathable back panel for the walk in from the car park, because campsite parking is never as close as the map suggests. Once you are there, the pack keeps its shape and its cold for a full sixteen hours.
